Concept sketches of the SNOWHAWK
The SNOWHAWK  is a knock off  the Dragon Moth by adding a bottom wing doubling as a ski, in the attempt to add more lift and be a winter flyer.  In the drawings and sketches below demonstrates the evolution of the SNOWHAWK influenced by the concept the SeaHawk.
Dragon Moth
A direct descendant of the Locus. The though was to add a wedge shape bottom wing doubling as a ski. The idea was to be able to use this plane in the snow.
WitchWay
The WitchWay is the first concept of the Snow Hawk. A by-plane that designed to land on snow or ice.
Dragon-Sleigh
The Origin of the Dragon-Sleigh came fro the Dragon Moth. The sleigh part came from the Dragon Moth's bottom wing, here it grew some more doubling up as the sleigh. The  name came from the sketch where the profile resembled a dragon head, hence the new name Dragon-Sleigh.
2006 Oct. I revisited this drawing due to a vision from a new model I was developing, in fact it is the Dragon-Sleigh in foam This version has since morphed into a new design in the attempt to simplify the design for the model.
SNOWHAWK
Borrowed from the SeaHawk the SnowHawk has taken over as the main concept for the ski snow plane. This seemed to be the right direction because the natural hull like body that was developed from the SeaHawk.
Snowbird
The concept of a ski plane was explore once more. The Dragon Moth was used and modified to generate more lift along attempting to stiffen the wing frame. Here the wings where extended and swept forward and the bottom wings where extended and attache to the main wing, becoming more of a biped plane.
Below is a collection of sketches looking at how I could improve the geometry of the craft. It is about the look and the desired configuration. Here the wing configuration was played with then I looked at the air flow and facilitating the power supply and fan unit positioning. All of these sketches are crude but do deliver the concept in development.
